Hello, I’m Gayla
Gayla Elliott M.A., A.T.R. received her Master’s degree in art therapy at Truman State University in Kirksville, MO, and her Master’s in counseling psychology at Union Institute and University, Cincinnati, OH. She is an art therapist with a long career of working in the field of trauma recovery. Over the past 40+ years she has provided art therapy services in many clinical settings. Gayla takes an eclectic approach to art therapy incorporating mindfulness-based, insight-oriented, and experiential techniques to tap into creative resources, enhancing and promoting healing for body, mind, and spirit. She is an artist, writer, musician and lover of the outdoors.
